For over 12 years we have been singing our O Holy Night medley at Christmas events and concerts.. we love it so much.. So when our friends at Jesus Daily asked us to be part of the E-Pop Christmas record, we jumped at the chance to record our favorite tune!

Then I went and checked out the meaning of resolution.
 
Resolution – a decision to do something or to behave in a certain manner. finding a solution to a problem.
 
It’s so easy to spout off things you want to do, things you dream of and things you want, but when you really sit down and think about it, what are the things in 2011 that you want to decide to do differently or to resolve?

It’s almost as if you are going back over 2010, seeing where you may have gone wrong, and choosing to fix that. But really it’s a chance to look over 2010, be thankful for every good moment and every bad moment, and to start fresh, start over, take the lessons learned with you and keep moving forward. It’s a wonderful thing really!

So here I am, writing down thing after thing that I want to accomplish and achieve for myself and others.

I’m writing what I plan to figure out or do, but really it’s all up in the air. Every day is a new adventure, and things happen all the time that we don’t plan for. Like my fuel pump dying in my car on Christmas Eve while I was in Oklahoma City, or the fact that we might get stranded in Montana for the New Year because it’s gonna be 4 degrees with a lot of snow!

Really though, you can get mad or you can just decided to look at the bright side and make the most of it. Now my car is fixed and that problem won’t happen again for a long, long time! And heck, if we get stuck in Montana we can have a killer snowball fight and make snow angels! It’s been forever since I’ve done that.
 
So, all that being said, go with what happens this next year.

Embrace 2011 with a new desire to see the good in all of it! Decide now that when you are looking back on 2011 this same time next year you will smile and be excited that you made it through in one piece, and with more adventure and stories than you can count.

First, thanks so much to all of you who are supporting my trip to Haiti! As most of you know, our trip was postponed until January 6-11 because of the political unrest -- we're so excited though because we've added I think 7 people to our trip which means we'll be able to take double the supplies and gifts to our friends at Restoration Ministries!!! Okay, so every year, we TRY to get together and make Christmas cookies! Mom & Julia came over with my pal Britt and Julia's BF Micah... Sarah wasn't there *sad face* cuz she's Christmasing in OK City this year, but we sent her photo updates every step of the way :)

So, I thought we could share those photos with you all to have you included in one of our "Ross Family Christmas Traditions" which are coincidentally Everlife Christmas Traditions... And this time, let's just say Julia got a little nutso with the icing, and then Britt stepped in and joined me!

I am so excited to tell you all about my upcoming trip to Jacmel, Haiti this December 16th-21st.
There is a team of about 10 of us who will be taking a trip to visit our project in Haiti!

We will be taking Christmas presents to all of the kids who are sponsored by Restore Haiti and Conduit Mission. This is also a celebration of 5 years that we have been doing work there along with planning for the future. I'm so excited to be serving these wonderful people and finally meeting my sponsor child, Paola!

This is a special trip for me, I've been helping support our friends in Jacmel for five years from here in the States, and while my sister and husband have been able to go and see firsthand the difference we're making, I've always had to hear about it from everyone else, and I'm excited to finally go and see and love on our Hatian brothers and sisters in person.

I'm still raising funds to cover my trip of $1200 and so many of you have been supporting us in our cause for Haiti, if you want to donate to getting me there, you can DONATE right here!!

I would love mostly for your prayers as well! Most of you know about the cholera epidemic torturing Haiti right now, as well as the political unrest.. It basically comes down to getting things as basic as clean water and honest, caring people. All of us at Conduit Mission and Restore Haiti are trying to be just a small part of that.
